What We Do

At CLiKS, our aim communicate the stories and values of the Bible to school children in the town of Keighley, in appropriate ways for children of all backgrounds and faiths.
We do this by offering assemblies, lunch clubs, after school clubs,
open the book and multi school events.
We are currently searching for a schools worker to take a lead on this work.
If you are or know somebody who you think would thrive in this role please get in touch.

Collective

Worship

Collective worship is the main way that CLiKS engages with schools. Assemblies are conducted in a respectful way of telling children about Christianity.
We educate children and tell Bible stories in a way that is suitable for all faiths and backgrounds.

We get children's input by asking them questions that gives
them chances to get involved
and have a say.

Prayer

Spaces

For all children there are
stresses in their lives.
Our 'Prayer Spaces' program
gives children a space to reflect
on what is going on in their lives and the world around them.
The prayer sessions have a mixture of sensory stimulating activities as well as those that encourage reflection and encouragement in all aspects of the children's lives.

FAST FORWARD

Our Fast Forward event takes place in the summer for Year 6.
It is designed to help the children to meet other
children going to the
same secondary school.
This helps them to create meaningful relationships that they can pick up on the first day of Secondary School.
We use the story of David and Goliath to help the children understand the changes, challenges and choices that they may face in their new schools.

Our Mission

We are an ecumenical charity
working to achieve together!

Open the Book

Our Vice Chair, Dale Barton, heads up the project in Keighley and we look forward to telling these stories in school again soon.
Open The Book is a project run by
The Bible Society and tells stories from
the Bible in accessible ways in line with
school and education guidelines.
We aim to use this project to connect local churches with their local schools.
